Komal Lahiri

Komal Lahiri is currently the Vice President of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) for Product at Meta Platforms. She has a notable career trajectory, having previously served as the Senior Director of Global Customer Operations and Localization at WhatsApp, a position she held since March 2018. Lahiri has also played a significant role as WhatsApp's grievance officer for India, focusing on addressing concerns related to misinformation on the platform.1

Before her tenure at WhatsApp, Lahiri worked at Facebook as the Director of Product Planning and Operations for Shared Services. She was also the Senior Director of Community Operations and Head of Community Support during her time there. Her experience extends to PayPal, where she held various senior roles, including Senior Director of Financial Risk Platforms.12

Lahiri holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Pune University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Institute of Management Development and Research, Pune. She is recognized for her leadership skills and ability to influence strategic decisions across diverse teams and geographies.1
