Koen De Waele

Koen De Waele is a seasoned business professional with expertise in finance, investment, and innovation. He earned a Master's degree in Economics from Ghent University and a Master's in Financial Management from Vlerick Business School. Koen has also studied Corporate Innovation at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Venture Capital at EVCA (now Invest Europe), and Strategizing for Innovation at Vlerick Business School; among others.

Over the years, Koen has held various strategic positions in different organizations, including being a Venture Partner at Volta Ventures, Director at Wizata, and Independent Director at SupplyStack. Additionally, he was the Chief Strategy & Finance Officer at Teleroute, Transwide, Tas-Tms, and 123Cargo (part of ALPEGA group) and Business Development Manager at Teleroute.

Koen is passionate about helping entrepreneurs, investors, and executives with growth, finance, investment, and innovation strategies. As such, he has been a mentor at The Birdhouse (previously known as Aerey) and a strategic advisor to several companies.
