Kit Maloney

Kit Maloney is the Founder and CEO of Kitara, a company dedicated to providing tools for women's health, specifically focusing on in-home vaginal steaming. She has over 20 years of experience as an activist, academic, and entrepreneur, emphasizing gender equity and women's embodied health. Her journey into this field began as a skeptic of yoni steaming, which later transformed into a passionate commitment to the practice after she experienced its benefits firsthand, particularly in alleviating menstrual cramps.123

Under her leadership, Kitara aims to create high-quality, accessible products for vaginal steaming, promoting a supportive community around women's health. The company offers expert information, custom herbal blends, and yoni steam seats, all handmade by women in Maine. Kit's work has garnered recognition, including being featured in various media outlets and being named an "Amazing Woman" by Marie Claire for her contributions to women's pleasure and health.12

In addition to Kitara, Kit has founded other ventures, including O'actually, which celebrates women's pleasure, and Collaboratory4.0, a co-working space and startup incubator aimed at supporting women-owned businesses.1 She holds a Master's degree in Gender and Social Policy from the London School of Economics, further solidifying her expertise in women's issues.2
