Kirsten Van Fossen

Dr. Kirsten Van Fossen is a distinguished professional with an impressive academic background. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) cum laude in Engineering Sciences (Environmental) from Harvard University.

With a wealth of experience across various sectors, Dr. Van Fossen has held key positions in renowned organizations. She currently serves as the Head of Sustainability and Education at Galley, having previously been the Head of Customer Success at the same company.

Prior to her role at Galley, Dr. Van Fossen worked as an Environmental Engineer at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. She has also been a Doctoral Researcher at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) at the University of Cambridge and an Environmental Engineer at the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Volpe National Transportation Systems Center.

Her professional journey includes roles such as Environmental Analyst at CSC, Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, Fellow at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University, Research Assistant at CIRRA (International Reference Center on Water Reuse), Teaching Fellow for Scientific Computing in MATLAB at Harvard University, and intern at Urban Outfitters.
