Senior-most and initial Finance leader at the company, running Accounting, Financial Operations, BizOps, and FP&A for a VC-backed B2B SaaS company.  I helped raise over $140M in venture funding.  We have grown revenue by over 5X and headcount from 35 to over 400 people. Worked with CEO, BOD and management team to develop and enable the company’s long and short term strategy.

- I have accountability and oversight for all financial and accounting functions, including financial modeling, multi-year forecasting, analysis, budgeting, accounting, management of receivables and payables, billing and purchasing process, payroll and expense management, cash and currency management, tax compliance and strategy, and cost allocations.

- Initially worked with an external accounting firm, then brought it in house and built a first-class internal finance staff.

- Responsible for all equity, debt, and banking functions, including cap table management, cap table strategy, investor relations, debt strategy, negotiation and management, and financial institution banking relationships.

- Oversaw initial two audits of the company.

- Responsible for legal, insurance, real estate and contracts.

- Built a strong partnership with HR, legal, product, engineering, marketing and commercial teams.

- Part of the Leadership team who transitioned the company to a fully remote environment.

- Deep understanding of financial modeling and key metrics used in the B2B SaaS; strong solid understanding of GAAP, with the ability to translate complex business operating models and operational indicators into financial performance.

- Responsible for ensuring our data is accurate and available to the company, analyzing datasets to find innovative ways to improve the business.

- Helped grow company from a true start-up to a growth company.

- Major Worldwide Electronics Manufacturer - Developed greenfield go-to-market strategy for new B2B printer line.  Created primary research on the consumer and channel participants utilizing, surveys, end-user and industry interviews to develop actionable personas.  Built the strategy and created implementation plans for the company.

- Established Big Data Company - Developed customer-focused, multi-tiered SaaS pricing model for enterprise customers. Model was customized to different verticals to better meet the needs of their customers.

- Worldwide IT Staffing Company ($50M+ Revenue) - Delivered an overall business assessment, industry benchmarks, best practices and specific recommendations to the owner on how to cost effectively improve overall operations, including finance, sales, sales delivery, customer service, HR, IT and operations of the firm.

- Start-up Healthcare Artificial Intelligence Company - Developed value-added SaaS pricing and created a phased channel structure to cost effectively reach a larger customer base.

- Start-up Elder Healthcare Company - Built business plan and executive summary for company to better focus their efforts and raise capital.  Helped develop pricing and a channel-based go-to-market strategy and other strategic initiatives for quick-to-market opportunity.

- Major Pharma VC Organization - Created primary research (surveys, interviews and focus groups) and recommended favorable market adjacencies for company-owned, mobile, location-based, hyper-location technology. Sponsor used the research and recommendations to add more value creation to this business.

- Healthcare VC - Performed technology and operations due diligence on Genomics Software company, that helped the VC decide on investment in the company.

- Major Pharma Company - Built a technology company landscape and recommended digital measurement and support technologies to combine with new drug development during clinical stages and proof of concept (POC) opportunities.  This focused the efforts of the sponsor and created cost benefits to their process.

- Major Pharma Company - Delivered a C-level report on digital measures in clinical environments, which provided sponsor with specific ways to best design trials and interact with payers during the drug trials.  Designed and created value-added primary research for the project.

Brought on to build a new research brand and create a very positive industry reputation. Oversaw revenue generation, branding strategies, investment efforts, client interaction and benchmarking. Acted as primary resource for clients regarding SAAS software business models and deep market analysis.
•	Focused research on SAAS-based marketing, advertising and analytics business strategy. Expert, focused on partner and business development areas, as well as the overall digital transformation of businesses. 
•	Successfully established and staffed the Research Department from scratch with a seven-person team, expanding business to $2M run rate in 18 months; also instituted new processes and policies for research distribution and regulatory controls.
•	Achieved $2M in run rate within only 18 months; specialized in company equities encompassing telecom, media and technology spaces.

Founded and built a new business from scratch to address all types of challenging market demands. Acted in different leadership roles in research, sales, board oversight and general business operations. Utilized skills in handling HR, IT, finance, client relations and related areas.

•  Profitably grew this business to $8M in annual revenue during tenure against such competitors as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America.
•  Acquired and integrated a broker/dealer, Wedge Securities, and formed WP Asset Management as Registered Investment Advisor.
•  Launched and administered a $2M joint venture in China, Wedge-MKI for three years; also raised and deployed over $2M in equity and debt financing.
•  Key participant in creating stock ideas that made hedge/mutual fund clients millions of dollars through intensive company/market research and due diligence.
