Kiril Savino

Kiril Savino is a seasoned technologist with a diverse background spanning from founding engineer at Higher One to leadership roles at prominent companies like DoubleClick and MongoDB.

He started his career as a language major and art student, fluent in Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, French, and Hebrew, before diving into coding and working for startups.

At DoubleClick, he led projects in search ad optimization, multimedia ad tracking, in-stream video advertising, and cross-platform authoring tools, contributing to the company's growth and eventual acquisition by Google.

Transitioning to AlleyCorp post-acquisition, he co-founded ShopWiki, where he served as CTO, gaining valuable experience in consumer software and leading the company through significant growth.

Subsequently, Kiril co-founded GameChanger Media, a mobile technology firm acquired by Dick's Sporting Goods, where he held roles as CTO, Chief Product Officer, and later COO, focusing on team scaling and product development.

Post-acquisition, he delved into social and political issues, creating social applications like Leap and Squad to address problems in social media usage, while also consulting for non-profits and LGBTQIA+ agencies.

Returning to the tech industry with MongoDB, Kiril took on roles as head writer, content strategist, and eventually Director of Product, Developer Experience, collaborating across departments to enhance the developer journey for MongoDB's products.

He has held various positions in prestigious organizations like Unbrandable, FRIDAY, Appetize.io, and OpsLine, showcasing his expertise in strategy, product development, and technology leadership.

Kiril's educational background includes a B.A. in Japanese Language and Literature from Middlebury College, studies in Japanese at Keio University, and coursework in Computer Science at Columbia University.
