His previous roles include Director, Planning and Priorities at Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, Director, Special Projects at Veterans Affairs Canada, Director, Office of Senior Vice-President at Canada School of Public Service, and Director, Strategic Planning, Policy and Program Coordination at Public Service Commission of Canada. Before entering the public service sector, Kin worked as a Marine Surveyor and Naval Architect at Transport Canada and Canadian Marine Drilling.
