Kim Chemerinsky

Kim Chemerinsky is a partner at Alston & Bird's Litigation & Trial Practice Group, specializing in civil and criminal business litigation.

With a focus on health care, business contracts, torts, and securities litigation, Kim has represented a diverse range of clients from multinational corporations to individuals.

Kim's educational background includes a J.D. from Duke University School of Law and a B.A. in English Literature with French and Italian Language Studies from Colorado College.

During law school, Kim served as the symposium editor of the Duke Journal of Gender Law & Policy and later worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Kim also held the position of a lecturing fellow at Duke Law School, focusing on the Wrongful Convictions Clinic.

In addition to professional work, Kim is actively involved in pro bono activities and community service.

Kim served as a commissioner of the Los Angeles Central Area Planning Commission, including a tenure as the commission's president, and holds leadership roles at Bet Tzedek New Leadership Council and Bet Tzedek Legal Services.

Recognized for legal excellence, Kim has been honored as a 'Southern California Rising Star' by Super Lawyers magazine consistently since 2013.
