Kiana Cox is a Senior Researcher at the Pew Research Center, where she specializes in the Race and Ethnicity team. She leads the National Survey of Black Americans and has co-authored significant studies, including “Faith Among Black Americans”.12 Before joining Pew Research Center in 2018, Kiana Cox was an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Her academic focus included race, gender, Black history, social movements, statistics, and research methodology. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology with a concentration in race and gender from the University of Illinois at Chicago.1
