Kiana Cox is a sociologist specializing in gender, intersectionality, race/ethnicity, and African American politics/social movements. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology with a focus on race and gender from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Cox's expertise lies in applied statistics and social science research methodologies. She currently works as a Research Associate I in the Religion and Public Life project at Pew Research Center and previously served as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
