Kia Weatherspoon is a Design Advocate, Founder, and Mentor known for leading Determined by Design, a minority and veteran-owned business.
She focuses on bringing Design Equity™ to affordable and supportive housing, making interior design accessible to all.
Kia holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Interior Design from Corcoran College of Art & Design, an AAS in Computer-Aided Drafting Technology from Community College of Philadelphia, a BFA in Interior Design from Moore College of Art and Design, and has also studied at V-Wise.
She has held various positions including President at Determined by Design and has been part of prestigious organizations such as The Boutique Lifestyle Leaders Association, CIDQ, Moore College of Art and Design, Virginia Commonwealth University, and others.
Kia has a diverse background that includes roles as a Professional Speaker, Adjunct Professor, Personnel Craftsman in the Air National Guard, Sr. Project Designer, and Designer at various design firms.
