Ki-Woon Kim

Dr. Ki-Woon Kim is a highly experienced engineer in the fields of heat transfer, fluid flow simulation, and battery technology.

With a Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering from KAIST and a background in Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Kim has a solid academic foundation.

He has held various senior engineering roles at Samsung SDI, focusing on battery safety simulation, system modeling, disruptive innovation, and open innovation.

Dr. Kim also served as the Head of Mechanical Part Development in the automotive battery development team at Samsung SDI.

Currently, he is a Senior Cell Design Engineer at Saft America, specializing in Large Prismatic Cell Development.

His expertise lies in heat transfer, fluid flow simulation, battery safety, innovation, and mechanical part development in the battery and automotive industries.
