Khurram Dara

Khurram Dara is the Regulatory and Policy Principal at Bain Capital Crypto, a position he has held since 2023. He is a capital markets lawyer with extensive experience in helping cryptocurrency projects navigate the complex legal and regulatory landscape since 2017. His expertise encompasses various areas including tokens, decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) .12

Before joining Bain Capital Crypto, Khurram was part of the public policy team at Coinbase, where he contributed to shaping regulatory approaches within the crypto industry. He also served as general counsel at Fluidity, the team behind AirSwap, and practiced law at Orrick, providing outside counsel to crypto projects. His legal career began at Cahill Gordon & Reindel .13

Khurram holds a degree from Columbia Law School, which has equipped him with the foundational knowledge necessary for his roles in the evolving field of cryptocurrency regulation. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys playing soccer and is a fan of the Buffalo Bills .14
