Early Life and Education
Khoi Vinh was born on December 3, 1971, in Saigon, South Vietnam. He immigrated to the United States with his family when he was just three years old, settling in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Vinh pursued his education in graphic design at Otis College of Art and Design, graduating in 1993.
Career Highlights
Vinh's professional journey began in New York City, where he co-founded Behavior, a design studio, in 2001. In 2006, he became the Design Director for NYTimes.com, overseeing the website's design until 2010. After a brief stint at Etsy as the Design Director for mobile, he co-founded Mixel, an app that allowed users to create digital art. Mixel was sold to Etsy in 2013, after which Vinh joined Adobe as a principal designer.
At Adobe, Vinh has been instrumental in leading the design team for Adobe XD, a tool for designing and prototyping user experiences. His innovative work has earned him recognition as one of Fast Company's "Most Creative People in Business" in 2019 and one of the "50 Most Influential Designers in America" in 2011.
