Khalifa Al-Maktoum
Penn State Nuclear & Mechanical Engineering, Class of 2022
Khalifa Al-Maktoum is a Senior at The Pennsylvania State University, pursuing dual degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with minors in Politics, Global Security, Security & Risk Analysis, and Sociology. He is expected to graduate in spring 2022.
Khalifa's leadership roles include serving as the President of The Emirates Student Union at Penn State - University Park. He is a member of prestigious organizations like the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Nuclear Society. Additionally, he contributes as the undergraduate student representative on the College of Engineering Academic Integrity Committee.
During the CoVid-19 pandemic, Khalifa volunteered at a SEHA Screening Centre to support the community. He also undertook an internship at the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab through the SULI program in 2020.
His educational background includes studying Mechanical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering at Penn State University, along with completing his High School Diploma at Rashid School for Boys.
Professionally, Khalifa has been involved in various organizations such as NDB Technology as a Nuclear Physicist and Aurum Stella Holding as an Executive Board Member. He has also worked as a Research Scholar at Penn State College of Engineering and as a Research Intern at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.
