Khalid Smith is a passionate advocate for great teachers, great teaching, anti-racism, and applying innovation in education. He currently serves as the Chief Product Officer and co-founder of Lessoncast Learning, which focuses on transforming teacher learning and assessing its impact on students.
With a strong background in education innovation, Khalid is a sought-after speaker, facilitator, and designer for experiential education events. He has collaborated with reputable organizations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Facebook, Google for Entrepreneurs, and 4.0 Schools to drive change in the education sector.
Khalid is actively involved in several boards, including Dent Education and Greenstreet Academy, imparting design thinking, entrepreneurship, and digital manufacturing skills to under-resourced youth and students at a West Baltimore public charter school.
Khalid Smith holds a Master of Science degree from The Johns Hopkins University, Whiting School of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia. His professional experience includes roles at BME Community, Startup Weekend, the Obama Campaign, and The Procter and Gamble Company.
