Worked as a summer research intern at the University of Iowa where I collaborated with one of the graduate students on creating a method of sensitive uranium detection in water.

•	Studied uranyl complexes as a function of pH and amidoxime concentration in solutions of water 
         and methanol
•	Took and analyzed Raman spectra under light-free settings for high quality data
•	Found band centers and FWHM, standardized datasets and fit bands to Gaussian /Lorentzian 
        distributions using OriginPro and Microsoft Excel software
•	Awarded Summer Internship Grant to help fund my research

Summer Research Intern

Have been in the Weiss Lab for over a year where I’ve helped study the effects of ligands on quantum dots surfaces. I am one of two undergraduates in the lab. Some of my responsibilities include:
•	Performing basic syntheses independently and complex ones under supervision
•	Calculating concentrations, volumes, and yields
•	Gathering spectral data including UV-Vis, NMR, and Photoluminescence 
•	Analyzing and evaluating data using OriginPro, MestreNova, and Excel 
•	Attending weekly group meetings

Chemistry Research Assistant

Have worked at the Finance Office at Kellogg School of Management as a work-study for over a year on multiple projects. Some of my projects included:

•	 Receiving, depositing, and recording cash and checks amounts exceeding $100 regarding the mailroom transactions
•	Processing payments to vendors through Finance Office online system
•	Writing a computer program that processed receipts, reducing the data entry time from 2 hours to 15 minutes
•	Maintaining a log of all payments I have processed (developed a program that partially does this)

Worked as an Office Assistant in the Rheumatology Division at Northwestern’s Chicago campus. Some of my duties were:
•	Developing a spreadsheet with mailing information of doctors for ease of sorting mail

•	Managing, maintaining, and ordering office supplies
