Kevin Powell is a seasoned expert in the music marketing industry. As the Owner/Operator at Total Impressions Marketing and Promotions, Kevin develops and executes marketing plans for a range of clients, from multi-platinum superstars to musicians releasing their first projects. He is well-versed in social media management, sales plans and execution, branding development and maintenance, relationship/affinity marketing, promotions, and event development and execution. Kevin also has exceptional people skills and entrepreneurial nurturing abilities.
Before his current role, Kevin served as the Senior Director of Radio Promotion and Marketing at Epic Records/SonyBMG and as the Vice President/General Manager at Active Industry Research. He has also held a teaching position as an Adjunct Professor at Howard Community College, where he taught Business and Marketing.
Kevin earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA), with a Marketing Concentration, from Loyola University Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in History/Political Science from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
