Kevin Maney is a bestselling author, award-winning columnist, and founding partner at Category Design Advisors (CDA) with a background in advising CEOs on thought leadership and strategy.
His book, Play Bigger, introduced the concept of category design to the business world, selling over 250,000 copies globally. He co-authored Intended Consequences and UnHealthcare with Hemant Taneja, and is working on his fourth book with Taneja.
Co-author of The Two-Second Advantage with TIBCO CEO Vivek Ranadive, a New York Times bestseller blending brain and computer science. Other notable works include Making the World Work Better, Trade-Off, The Maverick and His Machine, and Megamedia Shakeout.
Maney has contributed to major media outlets like Newsweek, Fortune, The Atlantic, and CNN, and was a columnist, editor, and reporter at USA Today for 22 years. He has made appearances on CBS Sunday Morning and NPR, and speaks at various conferences and universities.
Kevin Maney studied English and Journalism at Rutgers University and is currently based in New York, where he is part of a rock band named Total Blam Blam.
