Kevin Hale is a dedicated and passionate individual who has devoted over twenty years of his life to various forms of vocational ministry. His extensive experience includes serving in para-church ministries, being a member of the pastoral staff of a large Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) church, and working in support roles at medium-sized churches affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Currently, Kevin is serving as the solo pastor of a PCA church in Conway, where he has transitioned from being a scratch planter to a committed shepherd of his congregation.
Throughout his ministry journey, Kevin has walked alongside his wife, Annie, who has been a steadfast partner in both life and ministry. Together, they have nurtured a shared vision for fostering faith and community among believers. Kevin's teaching and preaching are characterized by a sincere desire to help individuals grasp the overarching narrative of Scripture, particularly the profound story of God establishing His Kingdom through Christ in accordance with His covenant promises.
Kevin’s greatest aspirations revolve around equipping believers with the skills and knowledge necessary to understand their roles within the body of Christ. He ardently believes that each believer is uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit and should be empowered and released to utilize these gifts for the encouragement and growth of others in love. By prioritizing teaching, training, and pastoral care, Kevin aids his congregation in living out their faith authentically and purposefully.
Education and Achievements
Kevin has pursued an extensive educational journey that demonstrates his commitment to scholarly rigor and biblical understanding. He is currently a part-time doctoral student, working towards his Doctor of Philosophy – PhD (candidate) in Old Testament at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, in partnership with the Union School of Theology in Wales. His research specifically focuses on the usage of the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants within Psalms 105-106, reflecting his deep interest in the interplay between covenant theology and biblical text interpretation.
Before entering the doctoral program, Kevin earned a Master of Theology – MTh (research) in Old Testament from the University of Glasgow, in association with the Edinburgh Theological Seminary. He further solidified his biblical education by completing a Master of Divinity – MDiv with a concentration in Christian Education at Reformed Theological Seminary. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Arkansas, which has enriched his critical thinking skills and enriched his theological reflections.
