Kevin Gordon, Col, CPP, CEM (ret)

Kevin Gordon, Colonel (ret), has an extensive background in public safety, spanning over 25 years in various roles from Patrol Officer to Director of Public Safety.

During his career, he authored numerous articles on Police, EMS, and emergency services management, which were featured in national publications and books.

Kevin also served as the Technology Editor for Law and Order Magazine, further showcasing his expertise in the field.

In addition to his writing, he designed and conducted classes on Police, Security, and Emergency Preparedness for a diverse range of audiences, from cadets to graduate-level students.

Kevin holds prestigious certifications including being a Board Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and a Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP).

He pursued his education at Webster University, focusing on Business and Organizational Security Management for his MA, and at Western Illinois University, where he studied Administration of Justice for his BA.

Throughout his career, Kevin held various leadership positions in organizations such as the International Police Association US Section and Signal 88 Security Omaha, and he was the Director of Public Safety for the City of Mascoutah, Illinois.

His teaching experience ranges from serving as an Adjunct Professor at McKendree University to being a Law Enforcement Instructor at Beck Career Center and an Adjunct Graduate Professor at Park University.
