Kerstin Hanson is a dedicated professional with a strong educational background and extensive experience in public health, humanitarian aid, and medicine. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on Global Health and Humanitarian Studies from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Furthermore, she earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and African Studies from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. Kerstin has held key roles in various prestigious organizations, including serving as a Public Health Advisor at USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance. Prior to this, she worked as an Evidence Officer in the Nutrition Division at the World Food Programme. Kerstin has also contributed her expertise as a Pediatrics and Nutrition Advisor at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and as a Field Pediatrician in the same organization. She has a well-rounded medical background, having been an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Resident at Beaumont Health System.
