Keri Wong
Keri Wong is an Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology at University College London (UCL) and co-Director of the Centre for Education and Criminal Justice.34 Previously, she was the Betty Behrens Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the University of Cambridge, Clare Hall College.2 As an international scholar, Keri enjoys meeting international students and colleagues at UCL, as well as the convenience of living and working in central London.1
Wong's research investigates the underlying causes of antisocial behavior and crime and the intersection with conditions like schizophrenia/paranoia in children, twin samples, and adolescent-onset schizophrenia patients.2 Her current research projects include:
- The Visible Co-Space Study Examining how community centers or youth hubs either hinder or promote mental health support for young people.3
- Hear us out! A youth-led podcast series documenting the stories of young people of Tower Hamlets.3
- UKRI ESRC Policy Fellowship @ UK Home Office Working on the evaluation of interventions and programmes pertaining to public safety and the criminal justice.3
Keri is a host on the Research for the Real World podcast series.2 She lectures across undergraduate modules in Psychological Research, Social and Developmental Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics, Brain and Behaviour, CBT for Psychosis, and Applied Social and Developmental Psychology.2 She is also a module leader for Personality and Individual Differences, Criminal Journeys: the Individual and the Environment (2021-), and Building Mental Health Resilience in Education (2021-).2
