After immigrating to Ridgewood, NJ, USA in 1989, Kent began working for his mother at the Haena-Kent Gallery in So Ho, New York, from 1989 to 1995.

Kent's career took him on a unique path where he wrote letters to 10,000 global leaders, receiving responses from influential figures like Warren Buffet and Lord Hanson of the UK between 1995 and 1997.

In 1997, Kent graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Economics, marking a significant academic achievement.

Subsequently, Kent ventured into the art world by promoting an art exhibition for movie actor Anthony Quinn and his son at the Seoul Arts Center in 1998.

Kent continued to diversify his portfolio by promoting the film 'Yonggari' in LA in 1999 and publishing his first book in 2000.
