Kenrry Alvarado

Educator for Equity and Social Justice

Kenrry Alvarado is an experienced educator with a strong academic background in neuroscience, digital learning, and educational technology.

He holds a Master of Science in Education - MSE, with a focus on Digital Age Learning and Educational Technology from Johns Hopkins University School of Education.

Kenrry also completed a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Neuroscience at Middlebury College and studied at Università degli Studi di Firenze as part of the C.V. Starr-Middlebury Schools Abroad program.

Throughout his career, Kenrry has held various teaching positions in the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), including roles as a High School Biology Teacher, Wrestling Coach, Summer School Science Teacher, and Extended Day Teacher.

He has also served as a Lesson Study Coach at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School, a High School Biology Teacher at Paul Public Charter School, and a Summer School Teacher at KIPP Philadelphia Schools.

In addition to his teaching roles, Kenrry has professional experience as a UELIP Junior Associate in the Office of Special Education at DCPS, a Lab Technician at George Washington University, and a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland.

His early career included roles as a Hardware Technician/Data Entry Clerk at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP and a Data Entry Clerk at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Kenrry Alvarado's diverse background in education, research, and technology has equipped him with a broad skill set that he brings to his work as an educator and instructional leader.
