Kenichiro Hara
Kenichiro Hara, also known as Ken, is a Partner at DCM, a global early-stage venture capital firm.12 He joined DCM in July 2015 and was promoted to Partner in September 2023.2 At DCM, Ken focuses on B2B SaaS, marketplaces, consumer-facing or SME-focused Internet and mobile services, healthcare, and Fintech.2
Background and Experience
Ken brings a combination of consulting, business development, product management, and branding/marketing experiences to DCM.1 Prior to joining the firm, he worked for Orbis Investment, developing its online retail arm, Orbis Access, for UK/Japan.1 He also worked for McKinsey in Japan and Vietnam, and built an e-commerce startup in China.1

Ken is an avid music fan, enthusiastic foodie (especially for Japanese curry), and a home brewing enthusiast. He is also a dedicated fan of the Yakult Swallows baseball team.1
