Ken Thomson has over 25 years of experience in the building industry, specializing in mechanical, energy, and Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) services. Currently, he serves as a Senior Engineer in the Brisbane Office of BSA Limited, a prominent technical services contractor in building services, communications, and energy services. Ken's role involves providing expertise in mechanical design, energy efficiency measures, and ESD principles for various projects across Australia. He collaborates closely with project management teams to ensure that engineering information aligns with design intent and operational needs. Ken also actively mentors students on sustainability and engineering projects, delivers lectures on energy efficiency at the University of Queensland, and volunteers on the Queensland Committee for the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH), organizing technical events and functions for the Queensland branch.
Ken Thomson also participates in conference committees, presents at industry events on energy efficiency and sustainability topics, and represents AIRAH in Queensland on the advisory group for the building industry.
