Ken Hinchcliff

Ken Hinchcliff is the Warden (CEO) of Trinity College at the University of Melbourne.3 He assumed the position in September 2015 after serving as the Dean of the Faculties of Veterinary Science, and later Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Melbourne.56

Education and Career Highlights::

• Education He graduated from the Melbourne Veterinary School with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc).145 He also holds a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a PhD in equine exercise physiology from Ohio State University in 1990.145
• Veterinary Expertise Hinchcliff is an American Specialist in Veterinary Internal Medicine.4 He was an academic at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University from 1990 to 2007, eventually becoming a professor.456
• Author and Editor Hinchcliff has authored over 190 peer-reviewed scientific publications.15 He co-authored the 9th, 10th, and 11th editions of "Veterinary Medicine: A textbook of the diseases of cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, and goats".145 He is also the lead editor of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd editions of "Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery".15 Additionally, he serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine.145
• Leadership Roles Prior to his role at Trinity College, Hinchcliff led the formation of the joint Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Melbourne.456 He directed the review and renewal of undergraduate teaching programs and introduced the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program in 2011.456
• Strategic Planning Hinchcliff is currently leading a strategic planning process for Trinity College, focusing on the roles of the Pathways School, Residential College, and Theological School.45
• Other Affiliations He was a member of the Zoological Parks and Gardens Board from 2008 to 2021 and is a member of the Listing Committee of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).1
