Kelsey Thomas

Kelsey Nwaka (née Thomas) currently serves as the Vice President on Silicon Valley Bank's Global Fund Banking team in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in providing financing and banking solutions to private equity and venture capital firms on the West Coast.

With a career spanning over a decade, Kelsey began at JPMorgan Securities LLC in 2008 as an analyst, managing credit and floating events on credit default swaps for asset-backed securities and collateralized debt obligations trading desks in New York City. She later transitioned to JPMorgan's Asset-Backed Conduit group in Chicago, focusing on relationship management for ABCP investors and conduit asset diversification. In 2018, she joined Silicon Valley Bank to further enhance her expertise in global fund banking.

Kelsey holds a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Accounting from DePaul University, where she graduated with honors from the university's liberal arts and sciences Honors Program. Additionally, she possessed FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses, indicative of her proficiency and knowledge in the finance sector.
