Kelsey Lents is a talented professional whose unique blend of education and experience in architecture, business, and design has allowed her to excel in various roles throughout her career. With a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Yale University, she brings a creative and analytical perspective to her work. Her quest for knowledge led her to pursue a Master of Architecture from the prestigious Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation, followed by a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. This combination of degrees offers her a competitive edge, allowing her to approach architectural design not just from a creative standpoint but also with business acumen in mind, making her an invaluable asset to any project or organization.
Throughout her career, Kelsey has held numerous noteworthy positions that showcase her exceptional design skills and project management expertise. As a co-founder of Two Birds, she played a significant role in shaping the architectural vision and strategy of the company. Additionally, Kelsey has contributed her talents at Architecture Plus Information as an Associate, where she focused on applying innovative architectural solutions to diverse projects.
Her academic background has also led her to engage in academia, serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at both Columbia University and Parsons School of Design. Here, Kelsey has imparted knowledge to budding architects and designers while also remaining an integral part of the architectural community. Her design philosophy and insight into the field continue to inspire the next generation of creative minds.
Prior to her academic roles, Kelsey honed her skills as a Project Manager and Designer at Hollwich Kushner LLC, where she collaborated on projects that emphasize sustainability and modern aesthetics. Furthermore, her creativity was put to the test as a Temporary Interactive Installation Project Manager and Designer at Experiments in Motion, allowing her to combine art and architecture in a captivating way.
Kelsey has also had the privilege of interning at renowned architectural firms, including NASA and David Chipperfield Architects, gaining invaluable experience in high-stakes environments. In addition, she has worked as a Designer and Project Manager at tonychi and associates, further expanding her portfolio and expertise within the field. Kelsey’s career trajectory has been shaped by a series of strategic roles that involved design and project management, enabling her to develop a comprehensive skill set that is essential in today's architectural landscape.
In recognition of her excellence and commitment to her profession, Kelsey was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship, providing her further opportunity to engage in significant research and collaboration in the architectural field.
