Make Waves was founded out of the desire to "DO MORE". I wanted to do more in all aspects of my life. As a former marketing employee, I wanted to do more for my clients than the description of my roles permitted. In my personal life, I wanted to spend more time with family and friends, travel and learn through exploration and engage in new hobbies. When the "DO MORE" voice in my head and heart was ready to emerge and engage, Make Waves was established. The energy that exists to create waves is my passion to do more for my clients. Project Manager - 3 Month Contract Position

My daily managerial duties included but were not limited to:•Greeting guests, providing them information about the town and assist in arranging activities. •Managing the restaurant and housekeeping staff (in Spanish) to ensure that production and efficiency is optimal at all times.•In charge of the money management for employee payroll, gift shop sales, and restaurant sales. •Oversee website, TripAdvisor, and social platforms to maintain current reputation and seek out new marketing ideas to help encourage occupancy, especially during the rainy season. •Maintain collaborative relationship with the other businesses in town to build all-inclusive packages for guests desiring a specially designed experience. •Spending dedicated time daily to work on improving Spanish speaking skills to further develop my personal capability to interact with local people, staff, and tourists. •Brainstorming new and innovative ideas to create additional revenue for the hotel and activities for tourists. Examples include: Merlot & Mosaic Workshop, unique to town breakfast/ lunch specials, and specialty classes in the Bird's Eye View Yoga Studio to attract a diverse group of people and provide a unique experience, such as, yoga by candlelight or yoga with live reggae music. Living and working in a remote area with no general retail or grocery store and limited access to internet requires me to be creative and innovative at work. I am continuously brainstorming or troubleshooting solutions to occurrences that have included: town-wide power outages, lack of specific food preparatory ingredients, etc., while still providing guests with top hospitality throughout their entire stay. Each day is a new adventure with a different challenge. I am recognizing personal growth in myself happen rapidly due to the necessity to adapt and accomplish daily tasks given any circumstance.

As the Associate Business Director of the Tower Yearbook I had various responsibilities in order to ensure the yearbook and it's content was complete and ready for publishing.
