Keith Fisher

Keith Fisher is a Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), specializing in Corporate Transformation Services based in London. With over 30 years of experience in senior management, he has a strong background in software engineering and technology consulting. Fisher was a founder of LShift, the original developer of RabbitMQ, a prominent messaging technology widely used in financial services and public sectors. This technology was later acquired by EMC/VMware in 2011 and LShift itself was acquired by Oliver Wyman in 2017.1

His notable projects include leading the engineering efforts for major banking platforms, such as the online banking offering for a Tier 1 bank in the UK and the Barclays SME platform, ClearlyBusiness. Recently, he has focused on modernizing legacy systems for global payment providers to support real-time payments and cloud-native architectures.12

Before joining A&M, Fisher served as a Partner at Oliver Wyman, where he led initiatives including the development of anti-fraud platforms and advisory work for the Bank of England's Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) research group.1 He holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of York and is a certified DSDM Practitioner in Agile development. Additionally, he contributes to two London-based charities as Treasurer and serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for the computer science department at his alma mater.1
