Kees de Visser

Kees de Visser is the Chair of the Investment Committee EMEA at Omni Bridgeway, a role he has held since joining the firm in 2016. In this capacity, he oversees the evaluation of funding opportunities and the firm's commitments to various funded cases and portfolios across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) .1

His professional background includes extensive experience in litigation, particularly in areas such as collective redress, arbitration, and the recovery of judgments against sovereign entities and corporations globally. Prior to his tenure at Omni Bridgeway, Kees practiced law at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, a leading Dutch law firm, where he managed significant cross-border litigation and enforcement cases while also leading the firm's private international law team .1

Kees holds multiple master's degrees in private law, business law, and Dutch notarial law from the University of Groningen, along with a Ph.D. in private international law. He is also a (co-)editor-in-chief of the Netherlands Journal of Private International Law. His linguistic skills include fluency in Dutch and English, with proficiency in French, German, and Italian .1
