Kayla DeMonte is an accomplished Managing Director at Citizen University and a Seattle Arts Commissioner. She has a diverse background with extensive experience in event management, programs, and partnerships. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with an independent course of study in Event Management from California Polytechnic State University.

Prior to joining Citizen University, Kayla worked as the Director of Programs and Partnerships and as an Events and Programs Manager at the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, where she honed her skills in program development, creating engaging events, and building partnerships. She also served as a Sponsorship Manager at One Reel, a Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator at One Reel, and an Advancing and Production Intern for the same organization.

Kayla is dedicated to civic engagement, democracy, and responsibility. She is pretty good with an etch-a-sketch too! At Citizen University, she is responsible for managing the organization's day-to-day operations and executing programs that encourage citizens to take an active role in shaping their communities. Kayla is passionate about developing programs that promote civic love and strengthen democracy.

She is also a former Event Co-Chair of Cal Poly Open House, where she gained experience in event management, marketing, and fundraising. Kayla's passion for community involvement and excellence in event planning make her a highly sought after specialist in the field.
