Kay Van-Petersen is a Global Macro Cross-Asset Trader, Analyst, and Strategist known for his expertise in financial markets, investing, and trading. With a background in investment banking and over a decade of experience, Kay excels in identifying opportunities in global macro, long/short, fundamental value, event-driven, and special situation strategies. He embraces an asset and product agnostic approach to his work.

Kay's career journey includes roles in Macro & Strategy Research, trading desks handling various assets and products, as well as experience in ECM & CF/M&A functions, demonstrating his wide-ranging expertise in finance. His prior experience at Saxo Bank and BTG Pactual Asia equipped him with valuable skills in Asian Equities platform setup, investment idea generation, exposure management, and macroeconomic analysis in the region.

Starting his career at Danske Bank and later transitioning to Jefferies Group before delving into proprietary trading, Kay holds a MSc. in Applied Economics & Finance from Copenhagen Business School. He is a well-traveled global citizen, having lived in multiple cities, with Singapore being his current home alongside his wife and two Bengal cats.
