Kavita Patel

Kavita Patel is a Principal at MUUS Climate Partners, a climate tech venture capital firm.14 She joined MUUS in 2021 after completing her MBA at MIT Sloan, where she also earned a Sustainability Certificate.12 Kavita's career has been focused on sustainable and inclusive economic growth, with experience in both finance and climate technology.12

Prior to MUUS, Kavita worked at BlackRock's Financial Institutions Group, where she focused on sustainable investing initiatives, including climate change, ESG, and stranded asset analyses.12 During her time at MIT Sloan, she gained experience with organizations such as Closed Loop Partners, International Finance Corporation's Climate Finance group, and cleantech platform Station A.12

Kavita holds a B.S. in Business & Political Economy from NYU Stern.12 At MUUS Climate Partners, she is responsible for sourcing, due diligence, deal execution, and ongoing support of portfolio companies.12 Her work involves identifying and supporting climate software and hardware solutions that have significant carbon reduction potential.3

Outside of work, Kavita enjoys exploring the NYC food scene, walking her Westie named Tofu, performing South Asian dance, and participating in outdoor activities like snowboarding and scuba diving.12
