Katie Romanko-Freeman is a highly accomplished professional with years of experience in various industries. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the prestigious University of Nevada, Reno. During her student years, she worked as an Orientation Guide and a Tutoring Center Coordinator, which helped her develop excellent communication and leadership skills.

After graduation, Katie started her career as a News Anchor and Reporter at Sinclair Broadcast Group. She then moved on to take up the role of Key Account Executive, Business Development Executive, and later National/Major Account Manager at USA TODAY NETWORK. Her experience at USA TODAY gave her a unique perspective on identifying key opportunities and developing profitable business partnerships.

Katie's entrepreneurial spirit led her to own Sierra Mattress Company, where she gained extensive knowledge in the retail and manufacturing industries. She then joined the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), where she is currently the Manager of Entrepreneurial Development. At EDAWN, she helps entrepreneurs start, grow, and attract businesses to northern Nevada, positioning the region as a hub for innovation and startup culture.

In addition to her current role, Katie is also the Immediate Past President of Reno Tahoe AMA, where she helped develop and implement innovative marketing strategies for the organization. Her experience in the industry and passion for helping businesses succeed make her an invaluable asset to any team.
