Katie Rae

Katie Rae is the CEO and Managing Partner of Engine Ventures, a venture capital firm that focuses on early-stage companies addressing significant global challenges through advanced science and technology. Under her leadership, Engine Ventures has invested in various "tough tech" sectors, including energy, materials, and biotechnology, with notable investments in companies like Commonwealth Fusion Systems and Form Energy.15

Before her role at Engine Ventures, Katie was a Managing Director at Project 11 Ventures and Techstars Boston, where she played a crucial role in nurturing startups and advising founders. She has a strong background in product development and management, having held positions at major tech companies such as Microsoft, Eons, and AltaVista. Throughout her career, she has invested in nearly 100 companies and has been instrumental in building Boston's tech ecosystem.245
