Katie Joseff is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background. She holds a B.A. in Human Biology with a focus on Social Neuroscience and a minor in International Relations from Stanford University. Additionally, she pursued a M.A. in Communication and Media Studies from the same institution. Katie attended Santa Barbara High School for her secondary education.
Throughout her career, Katie Joseff has been associated with various prestigious organizations in different roles. She has served as the Policy Lead for Integrity & Authenticity in the US/CA region at TikTok. Additionally, she held positions such as Affiliate Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin, Misinformation and Disinformation Specialist at Common Sense Media, and Senior Researcher within the Propaganda Research Team at the Center for Media Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin.
Katie's professional journey also includes roles such as Research Manager at the Digital Intelligence Lab at the Institute for the Future, Researcher at the Stanford Social Media Lab, and Researcher at the Digital Civil Society Lab within the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (Stanford PACS). She has previously interned at Common Sense Media in Educational Programs and has experience as a Teaching Assistant at Stanford University.
