Parks’ partnership efforts increase student access, improve affordability, and enhance the student experience. Strengthen current relationships and build new strategic relationships to boost for credit and not for credit enrollments.  Partnering with faculty to grow their programs with these strategic alliances.  The team works closely across our network to leverage our internal expertise as well as community/corporate/military partnerships.

Selected accomplishments:

- Developed 2 day development workshop for leaders
- Developed 6 month development program for front line supervisors to grow leadership skills.
- Partnered with faculty member to increase exposure of our drone certificate.  First Missouri higher education institution to be accepted into the FAA's unmanned aircraft college training program.

Park University

Associate Vice President of Strategic Alliances

Oversee multiple academic affairs units to include online operations, campus center academic operations, continuing education, IT integration for academic affairs, adjunct hiring/on-boarding and vendor relations. Responsible for relationship building and process creation to ensure academic affairs has strong partnerships within the University as well as in the community.

Selected accomplishments:
- Streamlined online scheduling in the first year to save the University $682,291 in adjunct faculty pay.  Increased class size average to enhance classroom experiences for students and faculty.  This savings allowed us to cut $2,136,221 from previous year’s budget for 20/21 academic year.
- Reorganize adjunct faculty hiring process to increase efficiencies and improve experience for hiring managers as well as candidates.
- Reinvent professional and continuing education to include the expansion of workforce development and leadership programs.

Associate Vice President of Academic Operations

Oversee daily school operations across all administrative processes including human resources management, implementation of student programs, student recruitment, budget management, and community relations across twelve Midwest/Southwest military campuses. Collaborate as a member of the Executive Leadership Committee for Online Learning and Military Affairs. Lead the strategic planning process for online and military campuses enterprise-wide.

Selected accomplishments:

- Optimized operations of military campus through the restructuring of 39 campuses resulting in a savings of $471,000.
- Increased the efficiency of scheduling through a streamlined process which resulted in a savings of $174,000 in faculty expenses.
- Developed three new degree programs to better serve university students and increase student retention.

Executed corporate restructuring projects on behalf of the human resources department. Aligned all offices and staff with enterprise-level goals and the company’s strategic plan.  Led and coached a team of four human resources professionals.  Created effective recruiting strategies and an innovative on-boarding program to improve the hiring experience and reduce first-year turnover.

Selected accomplishments:

- Streamlined the HR organization structure and consolidated operations for 11 locations, resulting in better return on HR investment, more effective HR service delivery, and increased engagement from business managers.
- Renegotiated numerous vendor contracts and found efficiencies in the HR department, saving the company $179,915 in 7 months.

Human Resources Director

Directed and executed all human resources functions for a successful downtown boutique hotel. Conducted job analyses to ensure proper job competencies were codified for all positions. Recruited, assessed, selected, and retained staff. Oversaw security department and implemented programs to ensure safety for both internal and external guests. Ensured performance evaluations and coaching and counseling programs were consistent throughout the property. Assisted with strategic planning and budget creation. Served on executive committee.

- Developed monthly Management Academy and Supervisors Roundtable to spur development of current and future leaders.

Served on the executive committee to advise the Superintendent and School Board on matters related to compliance, compensation, and staff training. Collaborated in employee counseling and disciplinary action. Delivered expertise in HR compliance in the negotiations between the school board and LNEA. Investigated complaints related to EEOC and OCR.

Selected accomplishments:
- Implemented online applications, education fair programs, and minority recruitment strategies to increase candidate pool for open positions.
- Increased retention of faculty and staff through the analysis of turnover and development of strategies from the recruitment process to training and recognition programs.

- Instructed courses including Human Resource Management, Organization Development and Change, Staffing and Selection, Management and Labor Relations, Training and Development, and Human Resource Management Capstone courses.
- Finalist for the 2009 William Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Launched the human resource department, serving on the executive committee of a non-profit organization providing behavioral health services in a tri-county area. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, performed extensive HR audits and implemented necessary changes. Administered benefits and payroll.

Selected accomplishment:
- Collaborated with the executive committee and Board of Directors to develop annual strategic plans.
- Created strategies to streamline the hiring process resulting in reducing time to fill positions by 41 days and position open times by 93 days on average.
- Developed programs to increase retention, coach staff, and train managers resulting in a decrease in turnover by 17% year-over-year, saving the organization approximately $170,000.

Implemented benefit and compensation programs for client companies. Assisted VP of Sales in processing requests for proposals and creating proposal for prospective clients. Created processes to streamline new hires, terminations, and benefits enrollment.

Assisted with all administrative tasks. Created, planned and presented new hire orientation. Initiate new hire benefits and changes by obtaining, verifying, and recording employee information, and inform benefit carriers of new or changed information.  Worked with outside consultant to conduct salary survey for 37 positions and to create accurate job descriptions/ salary ranges for all positions.  Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, check references, and conduct first interviews. Assisted in the review of the evaluation program.  Created a process to streamline the program.  Processed terminated employees and COBRA administration.   Assisted in planning and coordinating monthly employee events, holiday party, and service award program to increase and maintain employee morale.
