Katie Boué is a Cuban-American outdoor advocate, freelance writer, social media expert, professional adventurer, climber, public speaker, and former van-dweller with a passion for protecting wild spaces.

With a background in Creative Writing, English, Communications, and New Media from Florida State University, Katie Boué is dedicated to promoting outdoor recreation and environmental conservation.

As the founder of the Outdoor Advocacy Project, Katie is committed to empowering outdoor enthusiasts to engage in stewardship, sustainability, public lands, and community ethics.

She has provided social media expertise to prominent organizations like Outdoor Alliance, Outdoor Industry Association, and American Alpine Club, and has been featured in CNN, Outside Magazine, Lonely Planet, and other notable media outlets.

Having held roles such as Digital Advocacy + Social Media Consultant, Social Media + Community Marketing Manager, and Executive Marketing Coordinator, Katie Boué has demonstrated her proficiency in communication and advocacy within the outdoor industry.

Her diverse experience includes work as a Content Contributor for Nature Valley, a Brand Ambassador for Columbia Sportswear, a Community Manager at Tallahassee Rock Gym, and a Freelance Copywriter for various companies.
