Katia P.

Katia Porter is a UK-born artist and writer who currently lives in Connecticut.123 She creates mixed-media work that explores themes of myth, family secrets, anti-war sentiments, women's rights, the occult, and tarot.2 Her website is katiaporter.com, and her Instagram handle is @netheredge_artstudio.1

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Katia works in the Investments Office at Wesleyan University, where she has been since May 2011.1 Katia has a BA (Hons) in History of Art, Design and Film, a Post Graduate Diploma in Film Production from Sheffield Hallam University, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Management from the University of Salford.1 In 2019, she earned a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan.1

She founded the first Connecticut chapter of Urban Sketchers and helped start a writing group in Middletown for local writers.1 She is also a member of SoMa Art collective in Deep River, CT, where she had a solo show open from June to September 2023.1
