Kati Freeman

Kati Freeman is a dedicated sustainability practitioner and educator with a strong drive to empower organizations, communities, and individuals towards a sustainable future.

With a background in Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Geography from Victoria University Of Wellington, Kati further honed her expertise through studies at Group Work Institute, Blekinge Institute Of Technology, and Centre For Sustainability Leadership.

Her extensive expertise includes sustainability education, organizational sustainability, waste minimization, behavior change, staff engagement, environmental auditing and reporting, green purchasing, training, facilitation, and community engagement.

Kati Freeman has held various important roles including Commercial Waste Minimisation Officer at New Plymouth District Council, General Manager at Sustainable Taranaki, and Green Steps Training Coordinator at Sustainability Institute, Monash University among others.

Throughout her career, Kati has been a proactive advocate for sustainability, working with different organizations to drive impactful change through sustainable practices, education, and engagement.
