Senior Proposal Manager

As a proposal manager, I am responsible for all incoming RFPs, scoring and evaluating the opportunity, managing team resources, scheduling writers, supporting writers with project management, reviewing responses for accuracy, understanding and supporting a winning theme, working with legal and accounting, and overall production and submission of the proposal. And most importantly, updating and maintaining the repository of responses.

Proposal Project Manager

My position involved learning, creating content, and assisting the sales team's in understanding and becoming part of the Instructure family. I worked with sales to introduce our systems and RFP procedures to the newly acquired team. I was responsible for creating Assessment content, researching and managing all RFPs, and adding new content to the Content Management System. I was responsible for over $800,000K of booking in 2021.

As a proposal writer, my goals are to research the opportunity, understand the sales strategy, schedule, and coordinate kickoff and strategy meetings, write compelling responses, curate the content needed for a final response, and most importantly, open the door, or preferably keep the team in the running to win the business.

Technical Proposal Writer/ Lead Proposal Writer 

Wrote and edited online user documentation for the Captiva software products, using structured authoring tools: XML, DocBook, and Documentum.
▼Used XML to rewrite and restructure 40 legacy documents, creating a consistent format for all documentation. 
▼Wrote documentation for system configuration file (INI) for the Captiva product, worked extensively with Subject Matter Experts, documenting over 20 modules that use the INI file for set-up and configuration.

Technical Writer

Taught reading to ‘at risk’ students in the grades K - 3. 
▼Increased the number of students reading at grade level to over 50% to meet federal guidelines.
Enrichment Program Director (1998 – 2004)
Organized, directed, taught and secured funding for enrichment programs for sixth - ninth graders; disciplines in Science, English and Math.
▼Increased the number of students participating in the Space program to 100% by writing grants to secure funding for the program.
