Kathryn Minaya

Kathryn Minaya is an experienced bilingual/ENL educator, staff developer and education consultant. She studied Elementary Education and Teaching at Pace University and Teacher Leadership, BETLA at Bank Street College of Education. With a BA in Anthropology and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis, Kathryn has worked in various education-related roles. These roles include serving as a 1st Grade Teacher and 5th Grade Teacher at the NYC Department of Education, Operations Director at Harlem Village Academies, and Founding Dean of Culture and Community at Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School (WHEELS). Kathryn was also Director of Alumni Affairs for Teach For America and an ESL/Bilingual Coordinator and Teacher (K-3) at the NYC Department of Education.
Kathryn seeks to work with students, families, teachers and administrators towards amplifying the quality of instruction and access for all students. Her diverse background and experience make Kathryn well-equipped to work collaboratively with others.
