Kathryn Buczko

Kathryn Hymes is an accomplished professional with an impressive educational background. She received a Master of Science in Computational and Applied Math from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Currently, she is the Head of International Product at Slack, where she manages the development of products globally.

Before joining Slack, Kathryn worked for several reputable companies such as Nextdoor, foursquare, and Facebook, where she held key leadership roles. At Facebook, she was a Computational Linguist and Product Stuff, focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP). Moreover, she was a Research Intern in Natural Language Processing at Microsoft and Natural Language Processing Intern at Baidu, Inc.

Kathryn is also a former Fulbright Scholar and a Head Teaching Assistant at Stanford University. She has contributed to several research activities as a Graduate Research Assistant at CERN. Besides, she was a Purveyor of Play, Manufacturer of Mirth at Thorny Games, a company that creates innovative games and storytelling experiences.
