Kathleen Leighton brings an impressive career background in media outreach, public relations, journalism, and video production. With over 20 years of experience in the broadcast industry, Kathleen has worked as a television anchor, reporter, producer, photographer, and radio broadcaster. She's also written for national magazines and newspapers, and served as a corporate media trainer, social media policy trainer, and seminar and webinar moderator. Kathleen is currently the Manager of Media Relations and Video Production at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, where she oversees the planning, implementation, and coordination of an integrated institutional program for media outreach and public relations. Serving as the museum's spokesperson, Kathleen works closely with the Director & CEO, External Affairs, Education and Curatorial divisions, and manages video production staff, producing as many as three dozen new videos each year. Under her tenure, print coverage of the museum has increased 45%, television coverage increased 300%, and more than 150 videos have been produced. Kathleen studied B.A, Theatre Arts at University of Minnesota. She specializes as on-camera talent for industrial or commercial use, voiceover, writer, producer, and keynote speaker.
