Kathleen Keenan is an experienced event, program, and communications manager with a proven track record in high-profile public relations, creative communications, and strategic marketing. With a thorough knowledge of PR principles, media protocol, and communications, Kathleen has worked in a variety of industries, including a large non-profit organization, a national events agency, a DC-based PR firm, and several top-ranked hotels.
She has extensive experience in managing communications and events, having managed events for Washington National Cathedral, including the year-long Centennial celebration, Presidential Inaugural Prayer Service, funerals for national leaders, concerts, lectures, conferences, and programs. Additionally, Kathleen has directed sales and operations at PGI, managing events for the Harvard Business School's Global Leadership Conference, American Bar Assn., John Hancock, Marriott Corporation, and the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian, among many others.
Before her work at Washington National Cathedral and PGI, Kathleen was responsible for public affairs and events for eight Washington, DC hotels, including the St. Regis, Marriott Wardman Park, and the Watergate. She also worked for a national public affairs agency, which directed the dedication of the Three Servicemen Statue at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and was a writer and producer at Washington's classical music station, WGMS radio.
Kathleen graduated from The Catholic University of America with a degree in English and is now the Director of Membership at The University Club of the City of Washington, District of Columbia.
