Mission: Gourmet, everyday. The biggest hurdle to gourmet food is often fear: it can be intimidating, but this gour-maybe knows that it doesn't have to be. I know that cooking in real life isn't always effortless, easy, and the result of a 20 person photo shoot. I know this because I have burnt, over-baked, spilled, splashed and trashed thousands of recipes over 20+years of cooking, so you, my friends, don't have to make the same mistakes I did. Ask my parents. Along the way, I've learned lots of tips, tricks and lessons that I think can get you great and tasty gourmet results, without the panic attacks. And, you won't be handcuffed to your oven for days to do it. Unless, of course, that's your thing.

Director of Marketing

Head of Marketing and Public Relations for Reel FX (Dallas and Santa Monica)  (Formerly Radium/Reel FX) In this role, I currently:
+Direct marketing efforts and comprehensive strategy for the entire Reel FX studio collective (work-for-hire and development sides) and its feature-length and commercial projects. Responsibilities include overseeing branding, advertising, trade and consumer events, public relations, awards, sales and marketing materials and collateral, social media, websites and more. 
+Internal lead on all marketing efforts for the feature film releases of Free Birds and The Book of Life, working with studio partners FOX and Relativity to define marketing plans and strategy.
+ Supervise and direct Brand Management efforts. Recently completed a year-long studio re-brand including more than 200 pieces of printed and motion collateral as well as the studio website. Maintain and produce all collateral leading a team of three graphic designers. 
+Direct strategy on external and internal studio initiatives including the DIFF, The Texas Avery Award, CTN, ComicCon, Annie Awards, VES awards and many more. 
+Produce content including live-action and CG projects for broadcast and viral channels (both in-studio and freelance). 
+Lead trade and consumer public relations efforts studio wide for: Reel FX, key studio execs, studio facilities, and all entertainment, development and commercial projects. Manage relationships with public relations agencies. 
+Lead and direct Reel FX's online presence including the website design and content and all social media channels. 
+Founder of the studio’s community service|outreach program: Real Effects at Reel FX which supports multiple charity initiatives each year including Habitat for Humanity and Children’s Medical Center

+Tapped to launch Exclaim’s home entertainment brands (Boz The Bear, The Very First Noel) into the general market. 
+Directed sales and marketing strategy for the home entertainment, consumer products and publishing segments of the brands. Authored strategic creative briefs on campaigns and products.
+Financial responsibility included a complete overhaul of brand budgets and contractual agreements.  
+Handled the production and replication of the brand’s Home Entertainment products including episodic and feature-length DVD releases and accompanying marketing and sales materials.
+Managed creative team to ensure that all branded collateral both in-product and out met deadlines and strategic goals determined by product creative briefs.
+Oversaw the sale of the BOZ the Bear brand to a third party including its financials|contractual assignments, inventory, personnel, and physical and digital assets.

+Managed relationships with trade and consumer media to garner maximum exposure and placement for the Dallas Market Center, its markets and its sub-brands
+Developed and managed Marketing Communications and Press Materials including physical and online press kits as well as contributing to overall branding and communications strategy

+Work with Brand Business and Sales divisions to develop and execute national Creative campaigns including print, TV, radio and online as they relate to overall Brand Objectives and AOPs. 
+Primary contact with HIT’s creative agencies. Facilitated weekly status meetings to remain on task and on budget for consumer print and TV campaigns across all brands.
+Managed the execution and strategy of HIT’s Fan Club newsletters for Barney and Bob the Builder brands as well as the relationship with HIT’s fulfillment house. 
+Managed the creation and execution of external Sales collateral for HIT’s retail partners. 
+Managed the creation and implementation of all-new content for HIT’s retail website. 
+Worked with Director – Advertising to manage the production, creation and execution of trailers, national consumer TV spots and promo spots and respective budgets.

+Developed and managed communications on over 400+ projects including internal and external materials for home entertainment releases and sales collateral across all brands, as well as HIT’s corporate materials.
+Worked closely with Marketing Manager – Advertising to ensure HIT’s presence at international trade shows and events.
+Managed various ad hoc creative projects to deliver best-quality materials on time and under budget.
+Managed all media relations for the branded Bob The Builder LIVE! tour, securing over $500,000 in print, TV and radio placements ad value in a three month period. 
+Assisted in the management of national signature PR events, national radio promotions and corporate events.
+Created and edited all US departmental materials from outgoing media materials to internal PR recaps.
+Managed departmental invoices and budgets. Managed departmental monitoring service, designed seasonal internal PR briefs based on their findings.
