Katherine Baird

Katherine Baird is a Senior Associate Builder at AI Fund, specializing in validating business ideas and collaborating with Founders-in-Residences to establish new companies.1 She has a background in neuroscience and is passionate about the possibilities of artificial intelligence.1

Prior to joining AI Fund, Katherine served as the Venture Strategy Director and Entrepreneur-In-Residence for AI & Life Markets Innovation at 11.2 Ventures, where she led company building strategy.1 Her expertise includes problem validation, market analysis, pricing strategy, go-to-market strategy, and UX development.1

Katherine's career began at the Environmental Working Group, where she created a research program to investigate environmental carcinogens.1 She later secured a large grant, hired staff, and hosted a major conference with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, which resulted in their research being accepted into the NIH's official risk assessment methodology for new chemicals.1

Academically, Katherine holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor's degree in neuroscience from the University of Virginia.1 Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, intense workouts, cooking, and traveling with friends.1
