Katharine McKinnon
Advising EHU students on part-time jobs, virtual and insight opportunities, & responsible for Extra and Competitive Edge, our Employability Awards & the annual Careers Awards
Katharine McKinnon has been working in Careers since 2006 and is based at Edge Hill University in Lancashire, particularly at the Catalyst building.
She assists current students in their job search, part-time, summer, and internships/work experience applications, CV preparations, and guides them through the employability programs like Extra Edge Certificate and Competitive Edge.
Katharine also supports students applying to the Student Opportunity Fund, conducts informational sessions, and keeps students updated through E-Newsletters and targeted emails.
She offers help to Edge Hill students and graduates with job searches, application reviews, interview preparations for up to three years post-graduation.
In her personal time, Katharine enjoys Genealogy, watching shows like Great British Bake Off and Menu, attending the BBC Good Food Show, and being a Volunteer Marshall at the Park Run in Kew Woods, Southport.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Applied Social Sciences and History and an MA in History from Edge Hill University.
